The source image was a Polaroid photo of the three-legged 'table' or 'candle stand' seen on a Herman Miller bench, as part of an inventory of objects for a commercial move. I have always been drawn to anonymous/functional photography, composed like a 'mug-shot' to express any facts directly regarding identity and appearance. The glare of the camera flash further abstracted the image which went to harsh contrast once photocopied. I liked the 19th Century being supported by the 20th Century as the 20th Century became antique.
