Sometime around 1983 in Michigan, I painted a 'Roy Lichtenstein- Homage' version of Charlie Brown's head with this quote: I HOPE YOU DON'T MIND ME WRITING ALL THIS DOWN. The novelty of the quote (both Pop Art and Text art) has stuck with me and by 2021, I thought I would re-approach the subject. This version is at the scale of the paperback source and I repurposed an unfinished ground - the Black and White composition, previously vertical was established around 1991 while in Chicago. Thus, this is from the 'Transatlantic series' group - bridging periods of work and made in more than one city.
In 2022, this was acquired to a private Collection in Seattle.
